The nosecap is attached to the stand-up paddle board and provides the board with a displacement hull to more easily move through the water.

Apparatus, systems and methods for shared viewing experience using head mounted displays

US Patent 8,836,771
September 16, 2014
Systems and methods are operable to share a viewing experience of a free viewpoint format media content event. An exemplary embodiment receives the free viewpoint format media content event, receives unique geometric orientation information from each one of a plurality of head mounted displays (HMDs), determines a unique viewpoint location for each one of the plurality of HMDs based upon the geometric orientation information received from each one of the plurality of HMDs, determines a unique viewpoint area for each one of the plurality of HMDs based upon the determined unique viewpoint location, and communicates each one of the unique viewpoint areas to the associated one of the plurality of HMDs.

Identifying the circumferential positioning of electrodes of leads

US Patent 8,831,742
September 9, 2014
A lead assembly for an electrical stimulation system includes terminals disposed along a proximal end of a lead body and electrodes disposed along a distal end of the lead body. The electrodes include segmented electrodes. At least one distal marker is disposed along the distal end of the lead body. The distal marker identifies the circumferential position of at least one of the segmented electrodes along the lead body. The distal marker is aligned with at least one of the segmented electrodes along the longitudinal length of the lead body. At least one proximal marker is disposed along the proximal end of the lead body. The proximal marker is aligned with the distal marker along the longitudinal length of the lead body. The distal marker and the proximal marker are discontinuous with one another along the lead body.

Canning funnel

US Patent 8,826,949
September 9, 2014
A canning funnel includes an upper bowl that tapers downward to form a relatively narrower neck to direct the food items into a jar. A lower skirt surrounds the neck, forming a seat between the skirt and the neck. The skirt includes a cutaway portion with markings to allow a user to see headspace remaining in the jar.

Power line carrier data communication to DC powered electronic device

US Patent 8,830,040
September 9, 2014
Systems and methods are operable to communicate information to a direct current (DC) powered electronic device. An exemplary embodiment receives alternating current (AC) power with an AC information signal modulated thereon, converts the received AC power to DC power, demodulates the received AC information signal to determine information, modulates the information onto the transmitted DC power as a DC information signal, transmits the DC power with the DC information signal over a DC connector to the DC powered electronic device, detects the DC information signal on the modulated DC power at the DC powered electronic device, demodulates the DC information signal from the received DC power, and determines the information at the DC powered electronic device based upon the demodulated DC information.

Systems and methods for remote data storage and processing for use with printers

US Patent 8,823,982
September 2, 2014
A method of printing a document includes providing a document to a printer for printing; sending a portion of the document from the printer to an external service provider for temporary storage; and storing the portion of the document on the external service provider. The external service provider comprises a computing device or a server. The method further includes requesting that the portion of the document be sent from the external service provider to the printer for printing; sending the portion of the document from the external service provider to the printer; and printing the portion of the document using the printer.
