Network-based system for accessing and processing emails and other electronic legal documents
US Patent 7,730,113
June 1, 2010
A network-based system and method processes and analyzes email messages that have been communicated by parties involved in a legal proceeding. The email messages (or other electronic files) of the parties are delivered to a plurality of server units: metadata of the email messages (such as conversational thread information, directory path information, and other properties information) are directed a first server unit, contents of the email messages are directed to a second server unit, and read-only copies of the email messages are provided in a third server unit. If the email messages (or other electronic files) contain duplicate information, the duplicative email message is linked to an email message that has already been delivered to the server units. Once in the server units, users (such as legal professionals) at terminals on a network communicatively coupled to the server units can formulate and direct queries to the server unit(s) to review copies of the email messages (or other electronic files) that are responsive to the queries.
Systems and methods for determining organ wall mass by three-dimensional ultrasound
US Patent 7,727,150
June 1, 2010
An ultrasound system and method to measure an organ wall weight and mass. When the organ is a bladder, a bladder weight (UEBW) is determined using three-dimensional ultrasound imaging that is acquired using a hand-held or machine controlled ultrasound transceiver. The infravesical region of the bladder is delineated on this 3D data set to enable the calculation of urine volume and the bladder surface area. The outer anterior wall of the bladder is delineated to enable the calculation of the bladder wall thickness (BWT). The UEBW is calculated as a product of the bladder surface area, the bladder wall thickness, and the bladder wall specific gravity.
Traffic alert collision avoidance system (TCAS) devices and methods
US Patent 7,724,178
May 25, 2010
A device for determining the bearing of a vehicle using Inertial Reference Unit (IRU) and Traffic Alert Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) data. The device includes a means to communicate with the vehicle such as a transmitter, receiver, and antenna. The device also includes a processor configured to receive the IRU and TCAS data from the vehicle via the communication means and then generate a bearing value using the received data.
Systems and methods for location-based discrimination of turbulence
US Patent 7,724,177
May 25, 2010
Systems and methods differentiate weather, such as storm cells and/or turbulence regions, based on location relative to a planned flight path of an aircraft. An exemplary embodiment compares a location of the weather with a location of a region of space corresponding to the planned flight path of the aircraft. In response to the location of the weather region being outside of the region of space, an icon is presented on a display corresponding to the weather using a first icon format. In response to location of the weather being within the region of space, the icon corresponding to the weather is presented on the display using a second icon format, the second icon format different from the first icon format.
Pulse transformer with a choke part
US Patent 7,724,118
May 25, 2010
A pulse transformer includes a core unit and a coil unit. The core unit includes an annular core part, and an annular choke part that is disposed in contact with the annular core part. The coil unit includes a plurality of coils, each of which is wound around both of the annular core part and the annular choke part.
Systems and methods for consumer-generated media reputation management
US Patent 7,720,835
May 18, 2010
TruCast is a method for management, by way of gathering, storing, analyzing, tracking, sorting, determining the relevance of, visualizing, and responding to all available consumer generated media. Some examples of consumer generated media include web logs or “blogs”, mobile phone blogs or “mo-blogs”, forums, electronic discussion messages, Usenet, message boards, BBS emulating services, product review and discussion web sites, online retail sites that support customer comments, social networks, media repositories, and digital libraries. Any web hosted system for the persistent public storage of human commentary is a potential target for this method. The system is comprised of a coordinated software and hardware system designed to perform management, collection, storage, analysis, workflow, visualization, and response tasks upon this media. This system permits a unified interface to manage, target, and accelerate interactions within this space, facilitating public relations, marketing, advertising, consumer outreach, political debate, and other modes of directed discourse.

Insert cylinder cabinet cam lock
US Patent 7,716,958
May 18, 2010
An insert type of cylinder cabinet cam lock permits use of Schlage-compatible deadbolt cylinders in a cabinet door and/or drawer cam lock. A bifurcated, housing is provided that journals a cam driver adapted for operational interconnection with the Schlage-compatible standard deadbolt.
Snowmobile drive track
US Patent 7,712,846
May 18, 2010
An endless drive track for a snowmobile is provided with traction lugs that are inclined relative to normal to the track base. When the traction lugs are inclined away from the direction of travel for the track, the traction lugs can compress the snow before engaging the snow for traction, thereby providing lift for a snowmobile traveling in deep snow. Second traction lugs, angled opposite the first, provide hard snow traction and long traction life.

Vehicle seat comprising a height-adjustable seat frame
US Patent 7,712,836
May 11, 2010
A vehicle seat includes a height-adjustable seat frame which has at least two seat frame parts which can be moved relative to one another and at least one gas spring arranged between the seat frame parts for height adjustment purposes. The seat includes a control device that acts upon the gas spring and includes a valve device attached to a first seat frame part and has control valves for actuating gas flows for the gas spring. A control link on a second frame part actuates the control valves, so that a predefinable height of the vehicle seat is ensured regardless of a weight load on the vehicle seat. Movement of the control link relative to the second seat frame part brings about a height adjustment of the vehicle seat.
