A connector for an implantable electrical medical device can include a connector housing having a first portion and a second portion that can partially separate to receive a lead or lead extension into a connector lumen of the connector housing. The connector also includes at least one connector magnetic element coupled to each of the first and second portions of the connector housing to couple to at least one corresponding magnetic element in the lead or lead extension to align the lead or lead extension within the connector lumen of the connector housing. An electrical stimulation lead can include at least one lead magnetic element disposed along the proximal end of the lead body to couple to at least one corresponding magnetic element in a connector to align the lead within a connector lumen of the connector.

A system and method for suggesting stimulation devices may include determining which stimulation device is capable of producing an output volume of activation that most closely matches the target volume. A system and method for facilitating selection of stimulation parameters may include graphically identifying a maximum volume in which tissue is stimulatable by an implanted stimulation device. A system and method may pre-compute volumes of activation that result from a predetermined modification of programming settings. A system and method may transmit stimulation programming settings from a stimulation programming module to a stimulation generating device.

Connection node providing supplemental bandwidth for mobile units

A connection node provides a high bandwidth connection on demand to mobile units that are in need of increased bandwidth for data transfers. In this manner, the connection node can supplement the bandwidth available to a mobile unit so that large volumes of data can be communicated to and from the mobile unit. A movable antenna automatically focuses its reception area on the mobile unit's location, after which, a high bandwidth connection can be established for high-speed data transfer. The high bandwidth connection is maintained, such as by tracking the mobile unit with the antenna, even if the mobile unit is moving.

Embodiments are directed to monitoring network traffic over a network. A monitoring engine may monitor flows of network packets in the network. The monitoring engine may determine an observation port that provided the network packets. The monitoring engine may determine primary network packets provided by an authoritative observation port based on which observation port provided the network packets and provide them to an analysis engine. The monitoring engine may discard a remainder of the network packets that may be associated with non-authoritative observation ports. The analysis engine may analyze the one or more primary network packets.

An exemplary geographic playlist system includes a plurality of mobile devices with global positioning systems that provide geographic location information of the mobile device to a geographic location playlist device. The geographic location playlist device has a database of geographic playlist information that includes at least a unique identifier for each one of a plurality of media content events and at least one associated geographic location for each of the plurality of media content events. The geographic location playlist device determines a current geographic location of the mobile device, compares the geographic location of the mobile device with the geographic locations residing in the database, and generates user geographic playlist information that includes the identifier of media content events that has an associated geographic location that matches with the determined geographic location of the mobile device. A geographic playlist is then presented to the user of the mobile device.

An image projection device for displaying an image onto a remote surface. The image projection device employs a scanner to project image beams of visible light and tracer beams of light onto a remote surface to form a display of the image. The device also employs a light detector to sense at least the reflections of light from the tracer beam pulses incident on the remote surface. The device employs the sensed tracer beam light pulses to predict the trajectory of subsequent image beam light pulses and tracer beam light pulses that form a display of the image on the remote surface in a pseudo random pattern. The trajectory of the projected image beam light pulses can be predicted so that the image is displayed from a point of view that can be selected by, or automatically adjusted for, a viewer of the displayed image.

A coolant distribution system uses two premixed streams of coolant at either extreme of a concentration range, and mixes these two streams in the correct percentage to obtain the desired concentration.
