Classifying applications or activities based on network behavior
US Patent 10,382,296
August 13, 2019
Embodiments are directed to monitoring network traffic in a network. A network monitoring engine may be employed to monitor the network to provide metric profiles based on a plurality of characteristics associated with one or more network flows. The network monitoring engine may provide profile objects based on the metric profiles. The network monitoring engine may provide the profile objects to a classifier engine. The classifier engine provide trained activity models selected from a plurality of trained activity models that may be based on a ranked ordering of characteristics of the trained activity models and the profile objects. The classifier engine may provide classification results for the profile objects based on the trained activity models. And, the network monitoring engine may execute policies based on the classification results associated with the profile objects.
Hyper-resolved, high bandwidth scanned LIDAR systems
US Patent 10,379,220
August 13, 2019
AbstractEmbodiments are directed toward a scanning LIDAR system that measures a distance to a target that reflects light from a transmitter to a receiver. A light transmitter is arranged to scan pulses of light that reflect off a remote surface (target) and illuminate fractions of the Field of View (FoV) of a receiver, such as a camera. These fractions of the FoV are smaller than a resolution provided by an array of pixels used to detect Time of Flight (ToF) reflections of the scanned pulses of light from a remote surface. The exemplary scanning LIDAR system may resolve an image of the remote surface at substantially higher resolution than the pixel resolution provided by its receiver.
Systems and methods for making and using mounts for receiving objects and coupling to surfaces
US Patent 10,378,690
August 13, 2019
A mount for receiving a cylindrical element includes a retention assembly that retains the cylindrical element between the retention assembly and a base. The retention assembly includes arm segments extending from the base and retaining members disposed along at least one of the arm segments. The retaining members are separated from each other by a gap through which the cylindrical element is insertable. At least one of the arm segments or retaining members is resilient so that the gap is widened when that cylindrical element is pushed through the gap. The retaining members retain the cylindrical element between the retaining members and the base until force is applied to pull the cylindrical element back through the gap. A biasing member extends from, and is moveable relative to, the base to bias the cylindrical element against the retaining members while lacking sufficient force to push the cylindrical element through the gap.
Apparatus, systems and methods for provision of contextual content
US Patent 10,375,445
August 6, 2019
An exemplary embodiment provides clarifying supplemental information to a user who has become confused about a currently presenting media content event.
Shipment preparation using network resource identifiers in packing lists
US Patent 10,373,095
August 6, 2019
Example embodiments provide a Shipment Preparation System ("SPS"), which facilitates the preparation of shipments, such as by producing shipping labels. In one embodiment, the SPS is configured to receive shipment preparation information from a bar code or other machine-readable data block in a packing list. The shipment preparation information identifies a uniform resource identifier ("URI") that identifies a code module that is remote from the SPS. The SPS then communicates with the remote code module in order to obtain information for the preparation of the shipment and/or for transmission of information about the preparation of the shipment. Obtaining information for the preparation of the shipment may include receiving an address to use for printing a label. Transmitting information about the preparation of the shipment may include posting an indication that a label has been printed, a shipment is ready for pick up, or the like.
Boiler with access to heat exchangers
US Patent 10,371,413
August 6, 2019
A boiler that includes a housing is disclosed. The housing houses a combustion chamber, a heat exchanger system, a heat flow path, an isolating member, and a movable access panel. The heat flow path thermally couples the combustion chamber and the heat exchanger system. The isolating member at least partially separates the combustion chamber from the heat exchanger system. A fluid jacket is operable to thermally couple fluid disposable within the fluid jacket about a fluid side area of heat exchangers of the heat exchanger system. The movable access panel is positioned about or coupled to an exterior wall of the housing. When the movable access panel is moved to an open position, a user is provided access to a gas side area of the heat exchangers for servicing or cleaning of the heat exchangers from an exterior environment of the boiler.
Devices and methods to use power spectrum or signal association for pain management
US Patent 10,369,364
August 6, 2019
Methods and systems for electrical stimulation can include obtaining a biosignal of the patient; altering at least one stimulation parameter of an electrical stimulation system in response to the biosignal; and delivering an electrical stimulation current to one or more selected electrodes of the electrical stimulation system using the at least one stimulation parameter. In some embodiments, a power spectrum is determined from the biosignal. In some embodiments, the biosignal is at least two different biosignals measured at the same or different locations on the patient and a coherence, correlation, or association between the two biosignal is determined.
Systems and method for anchoring a lead for neurostimulation of a target anatomy
US Patent 10,369,354
August 6, 2019
A lead having proximal and distal ends. At the distal end, a first branch includes a first biasing member and a first insulation covering. The first biasing member is disposed within the first insulation covering, which in turn includes a first inner surface. At the distal end, a second branch includes a second biasing member and a second insulation covering. The second biasing member is disposed within the second insulation covering, which in turn includes a second inner surface. The branches define a receiving channel and a stimulation region. The biasing members are movable away from each other to receive a target anatomy through the receiving channel and biasly movable toward each other to retain the target anatomy within the stimulation region. An electrode is disposed on one or both of the inner surfaces adjacent to the stimulation region, and is operable to stimulate the target anatomy.
Mandoline with spiralizer insert
US Patent 10,363,676
July 30, 2019
A mandoline slicer includes a slicing ramp with a rearward and forward portion defining an opening. A main slicing blade is mounted to the forward slicing portion. A spiral slicing insert is configured to fit within the opening, and includes a circular support, a spindle, and a spiral slicing blade positioned inside the circular support. In some versions, the insert is invertible, having a second spiral slicing feature on a lower side.
System and apparatus for regulating flow rate in an espresso machine
US Patent 10,362,892
July 30, 2019
Embodiments are directed towards regulating flow rate in an espresso machine, during a multi-phase brewing process which includes a pre-brew and an extraction phase. During the pre-brew phase, coffee grounds are slowly pre-wetted and/or out-gassed with a first volume of water delivered at a first flow rate. During the extraction phase, a second volume of water is delivered, at a second flow rate, to extract espresso, where the second volume is delivered at a generally greater pressure than the first volume. The second flow rate is greater than the first flow rate. The flow rates, volumes, and pressures are regulated by the espresso machine, which includes a flow rate regulation assembly that comprises first and second flow paths and first and second valves. Baristas may vary the flow rate, volume, and pressure of water throughout the brewing process by opening, closing, or otherwise adjusting at least one of the valves.
