Handle assembly for a container

US Patent 9,278,782
March 8, 2016
A handle assembly for a container includes a baseplate and a handle portion. A post extends from an arm of the handle portion and is configured to allow the baseplate to be snapped onto the post. In turn, the baseplate may be fastened or otherwise attached to the container. When lifting the container, the handle is rotated from a stored position and mechanically halted in a lifting position with interlocking complementary stops coupled to the handle portion and baseplate, respectively. In one embodiment, the stops include complementarily angled surfaces that are placed in interlocking bearing contact when the handle portion is in the lifting position. A biasing member coupled to the handle portion and engaged with the baseplate biases the handle portion toward the stored position.

Optical node configuration apparatus

US Patent 9,231,703
January 12, 2016
A segmented optical node exploits a configuration module having arrayed all elements to go from a 1.times.4 to a 4.times.4 configuration, save optional redundant switches. A jumper board in the 1.times., 2.times. path configures the node for 1.times.4 in one orientation and for 2.times.4 when flipped around 180 degrees. The 4.times.4 configuration is achieved by rotating the configuration module 90 degrees. In this orientation power to the module is also off, since the 4.times. configuration is passive.

Touchscreen sanitizing system

US Patent 9,233,179
January 12, 2016
A sanitizing system for use with monitors, particularly including touchscreen monitors, includes an ultraviolet light source positioned about a periphery of the monitor and configured to transmit light toward the monitor. A sensor detects the presence of an object such as a human finger in the close vicinity or in contact with the monitor in order to stop the operation of the lights.

Brain stimulation models, systems, devices, and methods

US Patent 9,235,685
January 12, 2016
Brain stimulation models, systems, devices, and methods, such as for deep brain stimulation (DBS) or other electrical stimulation. In an example, a target volume of activation (VOA) can be received, a test VOA can be simulated, and at least one of a target electrode location or parameter can be provide using a relationship between the target VOA and the test VOA.

Wall sheathing, siding and roof decking hangers

US Patent 9,228,339
January 5, 2016
A corrosion resistant, metal building construction connective hardware for installing wall sheathing, siding, and roof decking to a structure with a resting mount (24) of sufficient depth to fit the material being hung and a holding lip (26) that forms a front edge that can be imprinted for identification and verification purposes. The lip is easily painted or stained to match the exterior finish. The invention is versatile and multiple pieces can be connected to the foundation mudsill to install sheathing; to the bottom edge of sheathing to install siding; and to each roof rafter tail-end to install the roof decking.

Measuring cup

US Patent 9,228,874
January 5, 2016
A measuring cup includes a floor and sidewalls to define an internal volume. The floor is inclined to enable increasing volumes from a lowest point on the floor to the highest point on the floor. A first set of volumetric markings is positioned on the floor for measuring small volumes, and a second set of volumetric markings is positioned on the sidewall for measuring relatively larger volumes.

Protective armor panels

US Patent 9,228,806
January 5, 2016
Protective armor panels comprising a grid formed of a plurality of strips of material having a front edge, a back edge, and side surfaces and a sheet of material secured to the front surface of the grid are disclosed. The strips of material can be contoured to form an armor panel having virtually any arbitrary shape.

LGJ Attorneys Selected for 2015 Washington Super Lawyer Listing

August 3, 2015 | Firm News
Lowe Graham Jones attorneys David Lowe, Larry Graham, Mark Lorbiecki, and Mark Walters have again been included in the Washington Super Lawyers list, while attorney Ben Dugan is listed among the Rising Stars list. Larry Graham and Mark Walters have been included in the listing every year since 2006, while David has been listed each year since 2007. LGJ is pleased to have its attorneys recognized by this important publication which carefully evaluates each candidate for listing and is limited to no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state.

Apparatus, systems and methods for fusion based power generation and engine thrust generation

US Patent 9,082,516
July 14, 2015
Systems and methods establish a magnetically insulated fusion process. An exemplary embodiment establishes a Field Reversed Configuration (FRC) plasma, wherein the FRC plasma is a closed field, magnetically confined plasma; collapses a metal shell about the FRC plasma; and establishes a fusion reaction in response to collapsing the metal shell about the FRC plasma.

Systems for making and using electrical stimulation systems with improved RF compatibility

US Patent 9,084,380
July 14, 2015
A method of forming a control module for an electrical stimulation system, the control module including an electronic subassembly disposed in an inner space of a casing and a feedthrough housing disposed along a portion of the casing, includes: forming an RF-diverting assembly having capacitive elements electrically-coupled to a feedthrough ground; electrically-coupling the capacitive elements to conductive pathways extending along a non-conductive substrate; electrically-coupling the conductive pathways to feedthrough pins extending through the feedthrough housing from a location external to the casing to a location within the inner space of the casing; electrically-coupling the conductive pathways to the electronic subassembly such that the conductive pathways electrically-couple the feedthrough pins to the electronic subassembly; electrically-coupling the feedthrough ground to an electrically-conductive portion of the feedthrough housing; and electrically-coupling the electrically-conductive portion of the feedthrough housing to an electrically-conductive portion of an outer surface of the casing.
