Apparatus, systems and methods for generating 3D model data from a media content event

US Patent 10,284,731
May 7, 2019
Three dimension (3D) model generation systems and methods are operable to generate 3D model data corresponding to images of a physical object of interest that are viewed in a presenting media content event. An exemplary embodiment receives a user request that is associated with an interest by the user to obtain a 3D model of a physical object of interest that is being shown in a scene of a currently presenting media content event. A plurality of video image frames are selected from the scene. Then, 3D model data of the physical object of interest is generated based on at least the selected video image frames of the scene.

System for managing operation of an organization based on event modeling

US Patent 10,282,667
May 7, 2019
Embodiments are directed towards an operations maturity model. An operations management system may associate events with one or more organizations. Event metric information may be provided based on the events for one or more sub-scores. The sub-scores may be scaled to fit within a defined range. An operations maturity score may be provided for the organizations that may be based on the scaled sub-scores. One or more recommendations may be provided to increase the operations maturity score for the organizations based on operations maturity scores that correspond to the one or more organizations. Providing the recommendations, includes providing a correlation of operations practices and the sub-scores and providing configuration recommendations based on the operations practices that are correlated with above average sub-scores.

Fast indexing and searching of encoded documents

US Patent 10,282,369
May 7, 2019
Embodiments are directed to a searchable encryption model for fast indexing and searching of encoded documents. The encoded documents may have multiple encryption and/or compression layers applied. The model supports full or partial keywords and simple or complex queries. The index model may be based on prefix trees to optimize space and time complexities during indexing and searching. This index model can be used as the foundation to more complex search engines. Indexed documents may be tokenized and each token indexed in a prefix tree data structure, or trie index. Tokens in the index may be associated with a token catalog that includes information related to the documents that include the token. Token catalogs may be implemented as inverted indices that map tokens to documents. If a query is provided, a result set responsive to the query may be provided based on the token index and the token catalogs.

Drill head

US Patent 10,280,690
May 7, 2019

A drill head including: an elongate housing, a first end of the housing being coupled to an end of a drill pipe in use; a base at a second end of the housing, one or more drill cutters being attached to the base; a supply passageway at least partially within the housing, the supply passageway being supplied with a flow of gas in use; a return passageway at least partially within the housing, a first end of the return passageway being connected to an end of an inner tube extending inside the drill pipe in use, and a second end of the return passageway forming an opening in the base proximate to the one or more drill cutters; and one or more ports for directing at least some of the flow of gas from the supply passageway into the return passageway in a flow direction extending away from the base and towards the inner tube, to thereby cause loose material to be drawn into the return passageway through the opening and transported away from the drill head via the inner tube in use.

Shoe with heel slider for pilots

US Patent 10,278,453
May 7, 2019
A shoe includes a shoe upper and a sole coupled to the shoe upper and that includes a lower surface comprising a first material. A heel insert is embedded in a heel portion of the sole and includes a second material having a coefficient of friction less than a coefficient of friction of the first material, such as less than half. The heel insert may include projections made of a low-friction material such as nylon or UHMW whereas the sole is made from rubber. The projections may be embedded in a frame that seats within an inverted U-shaped channel defined by the sole.

Automatic treat dispenser

US Patent 10,278,362
May 7, 2019
A rotatable container includes a projection that protrudes into the container and is aligned with an opening at a first end of the container. The projection defines a concave surface with a ramp that guides treats through the opening when oriented vertically. The container may be cylindrical and sit on a base defining a cylindrical seat. A second end of the container engages a rotator on the base that is driven by a motor. A front wall of the container may define an opening that aligns with the opening of the container when the ramp is oriented vertically. A sensor may sense a position of the projection and invoke pausing of rotation by the motor.

Systems and methods for suppressing denial of service attacks

US Patent 10,277,626
April 30, 2019
Techniques for network traffic filtering and flow control are disclosed. Some implementations provide a network communication evaluation module ("NCEM") that executes on a networking device, such as a gateway or router, and performs network traffic control, such as suppressing denial of service attacks or otherwise limiting packet flow. The NCEM performs packet filtering in order to identify and drop packets that are being (or are likely to be) transmitted as part of a denial of service attack. The NCEM conditionally drops packets that meet specified conditions or rules. For example, the NCEM may drop all packets that are using a nonauthentic source address. As another example, the NCEM may limit the volume of packets of a particular type, such as by limiting the number of DNS requests that are made during a specified time interval.

Privilege inference and monitoring based on network behavior

US Patent 10,277,618
April 30, 2019
Embodiments are directed to monitoring network traffic. A monitoring engine may monitor network traffic associated with entities in one or more networks. A device relation model may be provided based on the entities and the network traffic. An inference engine associate the entities with privilege levels based on the device relation model based on an amount of access or an amount of control that source entities exert over the target entities. An anomaly engine may determine one or more interactions between the source entities and the target entities based on the monitored network traffic. The anomaly engine may generate escalation events based on the interactions associated with the source entities and the target entities where the target entities have a higher privilege level than the source entities. The anomaly engine may provide the escalation events to one or more users.

Machine learning model repository

US Patent 10,275,710
April 30, 2019
Embodiments are directed towards a machine learning repository for managing machine learning (ML) model envelopes, ML models, model objects, or the like. Questions and model objects may be received by a ML model answer engine. Machine learning (ML) model envelopes may be received based on the questions. The model objects may be compared to parameter models associated with the ML model envelopes. ML model envelopes may be selected based on the comparison such that the model objects satisfy the parameter models of each of the selected ML model envelopes. ML models included in each selected ML model envelope may be executed to provide score values for the model objects and the score values may be included in a report.
