Herb keeper
US Patent 10,442,609
October 15, 2019
An herb keeper includes a container having a floor and upwardly extending sidewalls forming an interior space, the sidewalls terminating in an upper rim. A lid is removably attached to the upper rim and movable between a closed position which encloses the interior space, and an open position moved away from the upper rim. A basket is configured to fit within the container and rest on the interior floor of the container. A flexible strap includes a first end attached to the interior side of the lid and a second end attached to the basket. Movement of the lid away from the container causes the strap to pull the basket upward, providing easier access to the basket.
Systems and methods for selecting stimulation parameters by targeting and steering
US Patent 10,441,800
October 15, 2019
Methods and systems for selecting stimulation parameters using targeting and steering techniques are presented. For example, a method or system (via actions performed by a processor) can include receiving a name of an anatomical or physiological target or a name of a disease or disorder; receiving a clinical goal; and using at least 1) the anatomical or physiological target or disease or disorder and 2) the clinical goal, selecting a set of stimulation parameters. Another method or system (via actions performed by its processor) can include receiving a first set of stimulation parameters; receiving a command to alter the first set of stimulation parameters that does not include, or is not composed exclusively of, a numerical value for any of the stimulation parameters; and modifying the first set of stimulation parameters to create a second set of stimulation parameters based on the command.
Apparatus, systems and methods for song play using a media device having a buffer
US Patent 10,440,438
October 8, 2019
Systems and methods control presentation of audio-only content that is broadcast to a media device. An exemplary embodiment receives media content that is currently received in a channel of a broadcasted media content stream; determines whether the currently received channel is a type of channel that provides audio/visual content or a type of channel that provides audio-only content; controls presentation of the received media content using at least one audio/visual content control function in response to determining that the currently received channel is the type of channel that provides audio/visual content; controls presentation of the received media content using at least one audio-only content control function in response to determining that the currently received channel is the type of channel that provides audio-only content, wherein the at least one audio/visual content control function is different from the at least one audio-only content control function.
Apparatus, systems and methods for electronic program guide information presented on a display
US Patent 10,440,421
October 8, 2019
Systems and methods are operable to present an enhanced electronic program guide (EPG). The enhanced EPG comprises a reduced size video, a mini guide, a single channel guide bar, and an optional preview guide bar.
Hand held spiralizer
US Patent 10,434,674
October 8, 2019
A hand held spiralizer includes two housing portions pivotally joined to one another to allow the housing to open and close. A pair of handle portions cooperate to form a unified handle in the closed position. A main slicing blade extends along an interior sidewall for spiral cutting, while a set of julienne blades is mounted for selective pivotal movement for optional use.
Infrared hockey puck and goal detection system
US Patent 10,434,397
October 8, 2019
An illuminating hockey puck and hockey goal monitoring system is provided. The hockey puck comprises a standard size hockey puck with an imbedded RF receiver, electrical circuit, and a power source therein. The receiver functions in coordination with the hockey goal monitoring system, which registers when the receiver passes over its threshold to energize a light source either in the puck or along the goal itself. The monitoring system comprises a transmitter connected to an energized wire disposed within the goal posts and over the threshold of the goal, whereby the proximity of the receiver to the wire can be measured and the system registers when the puck has entered the goal.
Directional electrode devices with locating features
US Patent 10,434,302
October 8, 2019
Electrode devices having directional electrodes for use in deep brain stimulation or other uses. In one aspect, an electrode assembly comprises an elongate lead and a lead guide that are engageable with each other in a coaxial relationship. When the elongate lead and the lead guide are engaged with each other, the two components are rotationally fixed in relation to each other. In another aspect, an elongate lead comprises a radiologically-visible feature for indicating the orientation of the elongate lead. In yet another aspect, an electrode system is capable of determining the position and/or orientation of an electrode positioned within a body. In other aspects, methods for electrically stimulating a target site in the body are disclosed.
Portable fluid warming device
US Patent 10,433,372
October 1, 2019
A portable device heats a fluid within a reservoir. The device includes a housing, a cavity, and an energizing element. The housing includes a first longitudinal end, a second longitudinal end, and outer surfaces of the device. The outer surfaces extend from an outer portion of the first longitudinal end to an outer portion of the second longitudinal end. The cavity extends from a cavity port that is positioned on an inner portion of the first longitudinal end to a cavity terminal positioned intermediate the first and second longitudinal ends. Inner lateral surfaces are adjacent the cavity and extend from the inner portion of the first longitudinal end to an outer portion of the cavity terminal. The energizing element is around the cavity. The cavity is positioned intermediate a first energizing element portion and a second energizing element portion. The energizing element provides energy to the cavity.
