The omnidirectional wheel assemblies can include a plurality of wheel sub-wheels. The dumbbell caster assembly allows a user to perform exercises, such as push-up exercises and abdominal exercises, that require omnidirectionality.
Gun safe cabinet
US Patent 9,521,904
December 20, 2016
A cabinet is mounted on a spindle, which may be secured to a slide-out shelf within the gun safe for additional storage. The cabinet includes one or more doors that hingedly open to allow access to the interior of the cabinet. Upper and lower external mounting surfaces are provided to retain a rifle for storage. An optional upper pistol support and an internal safe may also be included.
Apparatus and methods for fusion based power generation and engine thrust generation
US Patent 9,524,802
December 20, 2016
Systems and methods establish a magnetically insulated fusion process. An exemplary embodiment establishes a Field Reversed Configuration (FRC) plasma, wherein the FRC plasma is a closed field, magnetically confined plasma; collapses a metal shell about the FRC plasma; and establishes a fusion reaction in response to collapsing the metal shell about the FRC plasma.
Minimize recycle SYN issues for split TCP hot flows to improve system reliability and performance
US Patent 9,525,632
December 20, 2016
Embodiments are directed towards employing a packet traffic management device that has a split data flow segment (“DFS”) and control segment (“CS”) to determine if a connection flow update provided by the DFS to the CS is valid. The CS may be utilized to establish connection flows at the DFS based on connection flow requests. The CS may generate a connection flow identifier (“CFID”) for a connection flow request. The CS may cache the CFID at the CS. The CS may establish a connection flow at the DFS based at least on the connection flow request and the CFID. After a connection flow is established, a DFS may provide a connection flow update and a corresponding CFID to the CS. The CS may determine that the connection flow update is valid if the corresponding CFID matches the CFID cached at the CS.
Lead anchors and systems and methods employing the lead anchors
US Patent 9,517,334
December 13, 2016
A lead anchor including a body having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end is disclosed. The body defines a lead lumen extending from the first to the second end and can receive a lead. The lead anchor also includes a fastening mechanism disposed in the body and in communication with the lead lumen. The fastening mechanism can fasten the received lead to the lead anchor when actuated by a user. The lead anchor also includes tabs(s) extending from the body and tags. Each tag includes an anchor attachment element and a cylindrical implantation element coupled to the anchor attachment element. The anchor attachment element is affixed to one of the tabs. The cylindrical implantation element anchors the lead anchor into patient tissue by insertion of the implantation element into the patient tissue using a needle insertion tool.
Facilitating access to multiple instances of a legacy application task
US Patent 9,519,473
December 13, 2016
Methods, systems, and techniques for supporting access to multiple copies of a legacy task are provided. When there are multiple copies of a task present, then instead of showing the output from a single task, the task workspace area displays task representation pictograms that represent the state and inform the user regarding each particular instance of that legacy task running on the host. The user can use the interface to perform various operations, including to start a new copy of the task, to end a copy of the task, and to select one of the copies for viewing. Example embodiments provide a Role-Based Modernization System (“RBMS”), which uses these enhanced modernization techniques to provide role-based modernization of menu-based legacy applications.
Server to client reverse persistence
US Patent 9,516,102
December 6, 2016
Embodiments may be directed towards enabling one or more load balance servers to maintain connection flow persistence if the server initiates to the communication to a client. A packet traffic management device may (PTMD) intercept the request from the server and generate reverse persistence information. The PTMD may include a portion of the reverse persistence information in the request before forwarding the request to the targeted client device. The client device may send the response to the PTMD. The PTMD may employ reverse persistence information to identify the target server. The PTMD may remove the reverse persistence information from the response sent by the client and forward the response to the determined server. Removing the reverse persistence information may remove evidence that the PTMD intervened in the connection between the client and server.
Methods and systems for content availability based on location
US Patent 9,516,036
December 6, 2016
Access to protected content is based on a client device being within a region. The region may be a mobile or movable region, and/or a region that is in motion. In some embodiments, the region may be determined based on a distance from a position within the region, or based on a boundary about the position that need not be symmetrical. In some embodiments, the region is a three dimensional region. In some embodiments, being within the region is further based on the region being above a defined altitude. In further embodiments, a determination for access is based on whether the client device is detected to be in motion relative to the region.
Systems and methods for object localization and path identification based on RFID sensing
US Patent 9,514,340
December 6, 2016
A networked radio frequency identification system includes a plurality of radio frequency identification (RFID) tag readers, a computer in signal communication with the RFID tag readers over a network, and a software module for storage on and operable by the computer that localizes RFID tags based on information received from the RFID tag readers using a network model having endpoints and oriented links. In an additional example, at least one of the RFID tag readers includes an adjustable configuration setting selected from RF signal strength, antenna gain, antenna polarization, and antenna orientation. In a further aspect, the system localizes RFID tags based on hierarchical threshold limit calculations. In an additional aspect, the system controls a locking device associated with an access point based on localization of an authorized RFID tag at the access point and reception of additional authorizing information from an input device.
Interactive target and system for long range shooting
US Patent 9,448,043
September 20, 2016
An interactive target assembly is disclosed and claimed herein wherein the target assembly is meant to provide real-time feedback to a shooter or other remote onlooker. The shooter or other party can visually detect a strike to the target by way of a high powered LED light that is in wired communication with a target control module. The target control module is thereby in wireless communication via a multi-channel receiver with a remote control and an impact detection module. The impact detection module detects an impact to the target, sending a signal to the target control module, which illuminates a light to indicate a strike.
