Symmetric engine and transmission coupler

US Patent 10,124,667
November 13, 2018
Systems, vehicles, and assemblies that include a prime mover, a transmission, and a coupler. The coupler couples the prime mover and the transmission. A preferred embodiment includes a system for forming a rigid body that includes a rotational prime mover and a transmission assembly. The transmission assembly transmits at least a portion of the rotational energy from the prime mover to a driven member at a frequency. The system includes a first and a second bridging member. Coupling the first bridging member to the second bridging member forms a symmetric bridge or coupler. The symmetric bridge is symmetric about a first plane of symmetry. Furthermore, coupling a first portion of the bridge to the rotational prime mover and coupling a second portion of the bridge to the transmission assembly forms the rigid body. The rigid body further includes the bridge.

Neurostimulation lead with conductive elements and methods for making the same

US Patent 10,124,161
November 13, 2018
A lead includes a ribbon cable comprising a distal end portion and a proximal end portion. The ribbon cable has a plurality of conductors disposed within an insulating body and a plurality of electrode apertures selectively disposed along the distal end portion of the insulating body. The ribbon cable further includes a plurality of conductive electrodes, wherein each of the plurality of conductive electrodes is disposed over at least one of the plurality of electrode apertures and in electrical communication with at least one of the plurality of conductors. The lead may optionally include a flexible, flat lead body. A method of making a lead includes the steps of (1) obtaining a ribbon cable comprising a plurality of conductors; (2) selectively removing regions of the insulating body to create a plurality of apertures; and (3) placing a plurality of conductive elements over the plurality of apertures, respectively.

Oxygen sensor cooling duct

US Patent 10,119,450
November 6, 2018
Methods, systems, and vehicles that control the temperature of a device included in the vehicle are presented herein. The temperature of the device is controlled by ventilating the device with drivetrain air, such as transmission cooling air. In some embodiments, the device is at a greater temperature than the drivetrain air, which cools the device. In other embodiments, the device is at a lesser temperature than the drivetrain air, which heats the device. The drivetrain air is provided to the device through an exhaust duct coupled to the vehicle's transmission. The drivetrain exhaust air is preferably circulated by the transmission. The transmission may be a continuously variable transmission. The device may be an oxygen sensor that is coupled to an engine exhaust pipe. The oxygen sensor is thermally coupled to the engine exhaust and the engine exhaust pipe, which are at greater temperatures than the transmission exhaust air.

Privilege inference and monitoring based on network behavior

US Patent 10,116,679
October 30, 2018
Embodiments are directed to monitoring network traffic. A monitoring engine may monitor network traffic associated with entities in one or more networks. A device relation model may be provided based on the entities and the network traffic. An inference engine associate the entities with privilege levels based on the device relation model based on an amount of access or an amount of control that source entities exert over the target entities. An anomaly engine may determine one or more interactions between the source entities and the target entities based on the monitored network traffic. The anomaly engine may generate escalation events based on the interactions associated with the source entities and the target entities where the target entities have a higher privilege level than the source entities. The anomaly engine may provide the escalation events to one or more users.

Protocol circuit layer

US Patent 10,116,561
October 30, 2018
A protocol circuit layer is described. The protocol circuit layer may employ a routing layer to determine optimal routes when establishing a circuit. The circuit layer may employ a link layer to send data packets over links to other network nodes. A naming layer may employ circuits to establish a distributed database of associations between network node addresses and their network locations.

Machine-assisted object matching

US Patent 10,114,858
October 30, 2018
Embodiments are directed towards managing data using modeling platform. A principal data set and match data set may be provided. The principal data set may include principal objects and the match data set may include other model objects. Blocking may associate each of the plurality of principal objects with potential match objects. Principal objects from the plurality of principal objects may be selected based on heuristics, their associated potential match objects, or the like. Potential match objects may be labeled as a true match or a non-match with respect to their associated principal object. A ranker may be trained to identify top-ranked matches based on the labeled potential match objects. The trained ranker may be employed to indicate matches where each matching other model object is a potential match object that is ranked higher than other potential match objects that are associated with its matched principal object.

Multi-link network gateway with monitoring and dynamic failover

US Patent 10,116,539
October 30, 2018
Embodiments are directed to managing communication networks. One or more links associated with a gateway computer may be monitored. Each link may be associated with a network addresses, and the gateway computer is associated with a gateway identifier (GID). Metrics associated with the monitored links may be provided. Scores may be associated with the links based on the metrics. The scores may be modified based on policy information. The links may be compared based on the scores and the policy information. A comparison may be employed to activate a portion of the links such that the activated links may be employed to communicate over the networks with other gateway computers. The links may be compared based on updated metrics. The comparison of the updated metrics may be used to activate another portion of the links that are associated with the GID.

Customizable information management system

US Patent RE47,094
October 23, 2018
A method for managing information includes: forming a meta data structure containing first information; forming an application data structure containing second information; establishing an association between the meta data structure and the application data structure wherein the first information has the second information associated therewith using a server; and displaying the association on a display.

Apparatus, systems and methods for satellite system fast channel change

US Patent 10,110,948
October 23, 2018
Fast channel change systems and methods are operable to change channels to a newly selected media content event in response to a user request. An exemplary embodiment communicates a previously stored low resolution version segment of the newly selected media content event to a presentation system while the media device is performing a tuning operation to change channels to receive a currently broadcasting high resolution version of the newly selected media content event. Once the tuning process has been completed at the media device, a handshake process is performed wherein the media device transitions presentation from the low resolution version to the high resolution version of the newly selected media content event.
