Displaying system for displaying digital breast tomosynthesis data
US Patent 10,242,490
March 26, 2019
The invention relates to a displaying system for displaying digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) data. First and second DBT volume images of the left breast of a woman and first and second DBT volume images of the right breast of the woman are provided by an image providing unit. Moreover, for each DBT volume image a two-dimensional navigation image is provided by a navigation image providing unit, wherein a user is allowed to indicate a location in the navigation image by using a user interface, whereafter a CAD marker associated with the location is determined in a DBT volume image of a breast and a corresponding CAD marker, if present, is determined in another DBT volume image of the breast. Slices of these DBT volume images, which are associated with the CAD markers, are presented on a display.
Machine assisted learning of entities
US Patent 10,242,320
March 26, 2019
A data model is traversed to determine concept characteristics associated with concepts that may be associated with entities. Associated documents may be evaluated to identify document characteristics associated with the entities. Entity models may be trained based on the concept characteristics and the document characteristics with each entity model being associated with a confidence value. Results for one or more queries based on the documents and the entity models may be provided. The results may reference the documents that may be associated with the entities. Some entity models may produce results that have a confidence value below a threshold value. Accordingly, the entity models that provide low confidence results may be re-trained.
Off-highway recreational vehicle
US Patent 10,239,571
March 26, 2019
A vehicle configuration wherein the center of mass of the vehicle is approximately superimposed upon the passenger and driver centers of mass when seated within the vehicle. An occupant's center of mass can be approximated using a standard center of mass position approximation, or a combination of any number of standard center of mass position approximations. The vehicle's center of mass can be approximately superimposed upon the occupant's center of mass in at least the longitudinal and vertical directions.
Burr hole plugs for electrical stimulation systems and methods of making and using
US Patent 10,232,169
March 19, 2019
A burr hole plug includes a first plug base defining a burr hole aperture and including first grooves; a second plug base to be disposed around the first plug base and including second grooves to receive a portion of an electrical stimulation lead; a cover to be disposed on the second plug base; a cap to be disposed over the burr hole aperture and coupled to the first plug base; and an extension coupled to, and extending away from, the cover. The extension includes conductors and the second plug base and the cover include conductive elements to electrically couple the terminals of the electrical stimulation lead, when disposed in the second grooves, to the conductors of the extension. An alternative burr hole plug includes a lead connector disposed on the cap and having a connector aperture to receive the proximal end of the electrical stimulation lead.
Systems and methods for making and using a lead introducer with a seal for an electrical stimulation system
US Patent 10,226,616
March 12, 2019
One embodiment is a lead introducer including an outer needle, an inner needle, a splittable member, and an annular seal member. The outer needle, inner needle, and splittable member each include a body and hub. The splittable member fits over the outer needle body and the inner needle body and can be separated longitudinally. The splittable member hub receives at least portions of both the inner needle hub and the outer needle hub within the splittable member hub. The annular seal member is formed by either a) the inner needle hub or b) a combination of the inner needle hub and outer needle hub. The annular seal member forms a fluid-resisting seal with the interior surface of the splittable member hub when the portions of the inner needle hub and outer needle hub are received within the splittable member hub.
Employing correlation measurements to remotely evaluate beam forming antennas
US Patent 10,225,760
March 5, 2019
A system for evaluating the performance of beam forming antennas based on correlations of signal to noise measurements of individual scattering elements in the antennas. An RF source provides a radio frequency (RF) signal having a first frequency to an input of the antenna. Each of the antenna's scattering elements are individually selectable to emit the RF signal. A bias signal sequentially turns off and on each scattering element while emitting the RF signal. Also, a characteristic of the RF signal emitted by each scattering element is separately measured and each difference between the characteristics are identified and compared to one or more threshold values. A report regarding the differences that exceed the threshold value is provided to a user.
Dynamic content analysis and engagement system for shared displays
US Patent 10,223,998
March 5, 2019
Methods, systems, and techniques for analyzing the level of engagement of viewers of shared digital displays and enhancing that engagement by dynamically modifying the content of the display and incorporating personalized content created by viewers are provided. One example embodiment is the Dynamic Content Analysis and Engagement System (DCAES), which enables the operator of the system to analyze engagement, generate metrics, manage owner and viewer generated content, and dynamically modify the content on the shared display to increase the engagement of the viewer. In one example embodiment, the DCAES comprises an attention sensor module, an analysis module, a content management module, and a display control module.
Illuminated bottle sleeve and mating bottle
US Patent 10,215,396
February 26, 2019
A sleeve for use with a mating bottle forms a tubular shape having a top end and a bottom end and an interior space within the tubular shape formed by the sleeve. A light source is carried on the sleeve, the light source being oriented to direct the majority of the light emitted from the light source toward the interior space. One or more holes formed in the sleeve, preferably as a pattern, such that light emitted from the light source and directed toward the interior space is allowed to pass through the one or more holes when the sleeve is attached around the bottle.
Systems and methods for push-to-talk voice communication over voice over internet protocol networks
US Patent 10,212,622
February 19, 2019
Push to talk (PTT) devices that communicate packet-based voice communications are disclosed. An example PTT device receives voice packets via a packet-based communication network from another PTT device. Voice information in the received voice packets are used to reconstruct the voice communication. The receiving PTT device is able to identify an occurrence of at least one delayed, corrupted or lost voice packet, and then communicate a packet re-transmit request to the other PTT device requesting a replacement voice packet that has a portion of the voice communication that is identical to the voice communication portion of the delayed, corrupted or lost voice packet. The voice communication may then be repaired based on the received replacement voice packet. While the voice communication is being repaired, a comfort tone may be generated so that the listener of the PTT device understands that the voice communication is being repaired.
