Al Richardson is a registered patent attorney whose practice includes many aspects of intellectual property law. He is actively involved in intellectual property dispute resolution including litigation and mediation. He assists clients with the development and exploitation of intellectual property portfolios, licensing and other technology transfers, and franchising issues. He prepares and prosecutes patent applications and advises clients in patentability, infringement, validity, and enforceability of patents. He routinely assists clients with the selection of strong trademarks and the protection of those marks through registration and active enforcement. His practice further includes copyright registration, licensing and litigation. Mr. Richardson holds a B.S. degree in aerospace engineering (1964) an M.S. degree in engineering mechanics (1967) and a law degree (1970) from the University of Texas at Austin where he was elected to Tau Beta Pi and Phi Eta Sigma.
